Visions Near Shungo

I saw the heartless and unwanted
combined in one scene:
a plague more so than anything
under the cover of dirt and whatever else
that blows in from the desert.
this so-called normality
remains like a ghastly rash or burn.
underneath it all
life here is still difficult
and breathing as it was before
however much outside effluent that
trickles in/
